The primary differences are vehicle age, mileage and warranty. Ford Gold Certified vehicles are Ford models up to 6 years old with under 80,000 miles and pass a 172-point inspection — with a 12-month/12,000-mile comprehensive warranty plus a 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Ford Blue Certified vehicles can be any make or model up to 10 years old with under 150,000 miles, pass a 139-point inspection and include a 90-day/4,000-mile comprehensive warranty.
