The Lariat's standard engine is the 5.0L Ti-VCT V8, with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 and 3.5L PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 available. Unlike the XLT, the Lariat includes standard BlueCruise, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, an 8-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a 12-inch fully digital instrument cluster — all without optioning up to an equipment group.
New for 2026, the Lariat is now available in 4x2 (rear-wheel drive) for the first time — a strategic move by Ford to make premium features accessible without the cost and weight of a 4x4 system. Perfect for Gulf Coast buyers who don't need four-wheel drive but want leather seats, advanced tech, and hands-free driving. The Lariat Black Appearance Package adds 18" or 20" gloss black wheels, black badging, and dark interior accents for a blacked-out look.

The F-150 Lariat comes standard with 18-inch Chrome-Like PVD aluminum wheels with all-season tires. Full-size non-matching spare tire is included, mounted under the bed. Alloy wheel upgrades are not available on the XL — aluminum alloy wheels begin with the STX trim. LT265/70R17C all-terrain tires are available as a fleet option (+$495).
Every F-150 Lariat configuration is available in both 4x2 and 4x4. The 4x4 system adds approximately $3,800–$5,000 to the base MSRP depending on configuration. All drivetrains are paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with progressive range select and selectable drive modes: Normal, ECO, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, and Trail.
